For an Inside Mount: Measurement and Ordering When opting for an inside mount, ensure that your window has a minimum depth of 2 inches to accommodate the installation of the bracket. Measure the width of your window opening, and subtract 3/8 inch to guarantee a seamless fit for the top rail. For instance, if your window opening is 40 x 60 1/4 inches, order a size of 39 5/8 x 60 1/2 inches.

For an Outside Mount: Measurement and Ordering For an outside mount, measure the entire window frame, including the width and height. Then, add an additional 2-6 inches to the width and 5-8 inches to the height to determine the appropriate shade size. For example, if your window size is 40 x 60 inches, order a shade measuring 42 x 64 inches.

Raised Roman Shade: Space Requirement When the Roman shade is raised completely, it will take up approximately 1/5 of the overall shade width. So, if you order a 50-inch length shade, the length when fully raised will be around 10 inches.

INSIDE MOUNT: The minimum window depth required is 1-3/4 inches. Measure the inside width and height of your window, and keep in mind that a 3/8-inch deduction is made to ensure the sides do not touch the edges too tightly. The bamboo roman shade height can match your window's dimensions.
